Walk on

Today while helping teach my little 9 mo old nephew how to walk, I noticed how much effort it takes for a baby to learn those first steps. Their whole body gets into it, and they have all of their focus in taking those steps. Eventually of course, they figure it out as it gets easier and they become totally mobile.

Perhaps we should apply the same focus in our own walk with God that children do. Putting our whole body into it, moving ahead with focus and intent. Unlike a child that eventually finds their freedom and can move about on their own, we should always need God right there to help us, steer us and direct our steps.

Perhaps if your walk is shaky, it’s because you let go? I assure you, that he didn’t.

6Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified…

for the LORD your God goes with you;

he will never leave you nor forsake you.”

Deuteronomy 31:6 (NIV)

About 1authenticlife

I am a traveler in life, loving to explore, observe and grow. I have a large, great family and live in the Mid west. My husband and I both co-own businesses... There is so much in life that fascinates me, most of all God and people. I have been to many countries and still have never tired of the adventure. My hope is to inspire others through the trials and triumphs of my life & practical truths found in the Bible, to be all they can be, and to live out their life authentically for Christ.
